    @spwolf: it works when you use Compress+Options, but it does not work for compress to filename.tar.bz2 for sure. I have been able to reproduce it. It is an bug and should be solved in next release. thanks! Glad it’s not me going mad. I had done some test compressions just to make sure it wasn’t a file/folder/path name problem. If it’s any help here are the results of my test compressions (1.13KB) (7zipped into one file.) Regards, Justin

    I’m not sure what kind of tool you mean but I have the Google toolbar installed for both IE and Firefox although I only ever use Firefox.

    if you are adding file alone, then relative path will not be saved, because there is no relative path. You are adding file: D:\Projekte\SB\EExport2\Deutsch\FSC\EExport2\Daten\test.txt Its root folder is: D:\Projekte\SB\EExport2\Deutsch\FSC\EExport2\Daten So there is no relative path to add. If you were adding: D:\Projekte\SB\EExport2\Deutsch\FSC\EExport2\Daten\test.txt D:\Projekte\SB\EExport2\Deutsch\FSC\EExport2\file.exe Then root would be: D:\Projekte\SB\EExport2\Deutsch\FSC\EExport2\ and path Daten would be stored for test.txt. Relative path is never created based on where you create the archive, since that could be anywhere…

    @haps: I’m executing an exe file that was extracted from the sfx. What I want it to do (and this is what I was expecting it to do based on the option description ‘delete files after command line’) is after the sfx extracts the files…I execute an exe that was part of the files extracted and then once that exe has exited, the extracted files are deleted. Am I misinterpreting what that option does? yes, that is what it should do. We did find in past that due to reasons of not being able to track certain exe’s, SFX would not delete anything. You could upload that SFX to an server and send us an link to check it out via support form at the top of the page. thanks,

    Please contact us via support link at the top of the page. You can automatically register PowerArchiver for all users on server, however, you do have to have license for remote users (which is separate issue). For more info, contact support. I am closing this thread. thank you!

    really? interesting. You are the only person to complain. It is clearly stated on the features page, PowerArchiver is free to try and use for 30 days, so I dont see anyone being confused. Are people confused about rar and ace? It says it is supported as well. If anyone got confused, they can request full refund for their purchase, as usual. However, you are not complaining about that. What you are doing is wanting the feature built in and then you write many threads about the same thing. It gets tiring after a while. I am closing this thread. In the future, if you have an wish please post it in the wishlist forums. thank you,

    @klumy: for compatibility reason PA should update to this next 4.42 7.zip PA 7zip dll will be updated in the next release of course. There are no compatibility issues btw.

    Hi! Is there a possibility to reset the archive attribute in a PAB Full Backup (for making Differential Backups afterwards) ? I did not not find any, and I think, it would be a handy feature. regards Ottokar

    I have a spanned rar that contains one .iso file. The rar has the old rar extension. file.r01 file.r02 etc. When I extract the archive, the statusbar of the current file jumps to 100%. The process had 80 more files to go. See image… Guido [image: attachment_t_1576_0_spanner-rar.jpg]

    @darrydoo: Stuff from Logitech (web cam), Patchou (Messenger Plus! 3), and Nvidia. Nothing funky. Really? I’ve never before heard a software developer say that hooks were inappropriate. Incidentally, PA is the only application that has a problem – none of the literally hundreds of other apps I run exhibit this behaviour. Statistically speaking, the chances that this is not PA’s problem are pretty slim. Cheers Darren hooks that cause PowerArchiver to stay in memory certainly are innapropriate. Try uninstalling Patchou and see what happens. So far we only had problems with Startup Guard and this is only time it has happened - I think they might have fixed it in some recent release since we did not get an complaint in a while. Statistically speaking, out of 2 million downloads in past 12 months, you are first to report something similar so it is quite possible that it is something very specific, otherwise it would happen to many people. :-). Let me know what happens when you try uninstalling, if it still happens, you can upload list from dll show here and we will check it out. Dont worry, we will definetly check it out and if it is something on our side, we will fix it, as with everything else we do.
