You also need to update the PA Outlook Plug-in. V2 beta is available on download page.

currently you have to create it first on your hard drive… you can use Move (instead of Add) and it will delete those files from the HD. You need to enable normal relative path option in Options> Misc for storing of root folders…. thanks!

Thanks, I forgot to mention that this problem is related (only) to 7-zip format. But I can’t live with it since 7-zip rocks… Bernhard.

My mistake, I thought I had the latest version but I only had 10.00.42 installed. I’ve updated to 10.01.03 and tried the same file again. This time it worked fine with no issues. Sorry if I wasted anyone’s time. :o

@awo: Yes, the 7zip format does support this. However, it’s not possible with PowerArchiver to use this feature of the 7zip format. You’ll have to use the original 7zip program instead (http://www.7-zip.org). no advertising of other programs on our forums please. Yes, you can pae to hide file names, however that feature is not present in the backup as of yet.

I need to do full and differential backups and encrypt the names of the files within an archive. How do I do that please? I tried using powerarchiver auto backup script but don’t see an option to use .PAE files with AES. I can encrypt the individual files but want to encrypt the whole archive. Do I use command line? How would that be done? I would then like to use the windows task manager. Ideally, I would like: Backup using 7 zip Encrypt filenames within container with AES Create differential files that overwrite the old differential files Thank you.

@bsiegel: Seems fixed now, thanks! And zipmeister, PowerArchiver plugins support the Total Commander archive plugin format, so most of those plugins should work with PA. Ahh so! It becomes clear now. I will take a peek in my TC storage folder. -Zipmeister out

The german version 10.01.03 is not displaying the drag’n drop menu at all, like the version before. With the english version I’ve the same issue as wallan37 and skypx.

Same here. I usually unpack ISO’s with Alcohol 120% so this problem is not important to me and so far I wasn’t aware of it. The extracted files are 2048 bytes each. If the original file is smaller it gets unpacked correctly, all other files (as far as I can tell from some Textfiles) are cut after their first 2048 bytes, I’ll try on the x32 Vista version on the laptop on monday. Just to confirm the problem on Vista x64.

That’s OK; on the rare occasion that I need to do that I can use the old-fashioned way. And thanks for the reply. A responsive forum is one thing I look for when deciding whether or not to buy a program. You guys are doing a good job. Thanks.

I apologize for the delay in thanking you for your responses. I’ve been having some problems with my username and password on the PA forum. When I tried to reset my pw, my username was changed, and I received an activation code instead of a password. Very confusing.

@doubledoom: Thats handy to know. I have a couple of colleagues who are waiting for the outlook addin to be updated for outlook 2007 before they buy and they were planning to get 2 licences each (one of their laptop and one for their desktop). They will only have to buy one each if I read that correctly. yep… as long as they are only ones using it, that is correct…
