Simple wish. I hope That the built-in Password manager works with the built-in Arcconvertor and Multi-extract so I dont have to type in the passwords again when using them. and Check for PPM archive via filename+crc check and not filename+path

@manuangi: …but that wouln’t be 100% right, anyway… Exactly, think of ‘.psf’ as a good example. I expect only PA would “know” what this was. Or, more common, what about ‘.doc’ which could be different wp files or simple ascii text.

@Ren: I’ll bump this older thread… :) This is one of things I would like have too so I read through older topics and found this one… I think that making another button is crazy but to have ‘…’ for leaving archive will be enough for everyone, won’t be? It’s something I’m missing much. Spwolf, I know I can use bckspc, I’m doing it so now…:-) But to have ‘…’ for leaving archive when we have it already inside of it would be great and will make work with bigger number of archives more transparent. :) I tend to side with you. I think just the ‘…’ would be enough.

Its a pain that windows does not allow searching of arcives well windows 2000 doesn’t without third party add ons. Could pa be able to do that.

+1 I often use the backup tool and I just converted several zips to 7z. I was amazed how much better my backups were compressed. So of course I support this request and hope to see it in a future release.

@gardar: yeah KGB is pretty slow but with a faster CPU it takes less time, have you seen the killer compression it has? I downloaded a file that was 1.43mb compressed to kgb and when I decompressed it the size is 439mb  Plugin system sounds cool, then .dax compress for the PSP would also be possible. Also with the plugin system then it would finally be possible to use PowerArchiver as all in one archiver. Do you know when we might expect the PowerArchiver plugin system? In the 2007 version? problem is decompression… it doesnt really matter how long compression takes, as long as decompression is acceptable… As much as I saw, KGB takes around the same time for both, which is really way too much… But yes, 2007 we hope… :-).

@klumy: Claude why do you open so many double feaure requests? Why not just post into the old topics? yep, all my efforts of cleaning up and bumping the threads go to waste :-)…. funniest thing is that some of the wishes were on top already (like 7zip sfx)…

Hi, When we create AutoBackup script we can apply inclusion/exclusion filters. Currently, we only can specify file masks, it could be interesting to have the possibility to include/exclude entire folders too …

Hi, It would be interesting to register directly in an .ini file or .xml one, rather than in the windows registry or giving the ability to backup/restore PowerArchiver settings in such a file… (for portability between different computers in a network for example or when we install a new pc from scratch …) The ability to store settings in the registry or in a portable .ini/.xml file could be optional as we can see in some other program such as EditPadPro (available at http://www.editpadpro.com). (WE could bind this topic to the “creating a U3 package” one of this forum…)

Hi, in winzip for example, when we hover the mouse over an archive we have brief statistics about the archive content (how many files and folders it contains etc), and in another, comprexx, we could have that kind of statistics s(more detailed) in the file property sheet of the windows explorer, right-clicking on the archive and choosing properties. I really would like to find that kind of feature in a next version of Powerarchiver …
