Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)
I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
"archive properties" context menu voice

sometimes I like to check the archive properties…and I have to open the archive in PA then click on the “properties” button (which I have enabled)…
I think it would be good to have a context menu option for that, such as “Archive properties”
what do you think?
by the way…is there any way to put a shortcut in the \sendto folder, pointing directly to the Properties function…by a command line switch?
sort of “\pa\powarc.exe /info” -

no way?

I agree, at the moment PA does not enable “info” unless it already has the archive open.
Even using PA main window Explorer view. -
Original archive info was done without explorer view in mind… Let us actually do new properties box and then we will see if we can do this as well. It is right now at the back of our 9.5 working list, so far.
thanks,

9.5 running, but no changes about this?
the best would be having a tab in the box opened via WindowsExplorer’s “Properties” menu voice, just as the archives associated with WinR** do (I love that feature, you don’t have to open the program to see the archive’s properties!)
anything coming in the near future? it would be great!
thank you! -
Support this wish :)

good idea
another good idea, wpild be if the properties info would be shown up as tooltip in the windows explorer

Full agree. Winzip shows these properties for years.

we didnt finish new properties box… So, when it appears in PA, we will try to the shell extension for it as well.
thanks!
