Fantastic! otherwise in my own Opionion there isnt much use for a program that has great plugins but doesnt intergrate it fully. However!, I fully empathise the sheer amount of work you have had and to create such a powerfull and different PowerArchiver! so these things sometimes pass the eye! The good thing is the plug ins work! it hasnt caused any crash and does the job! But to those installing plugins you will need to use the windows “open with” dialog.

@cjs: I tried to compress a directory "test’ (‘c:\programs\test’) which contains some files and subdirectories. Everything worked fine, but the name of the directory (‘test’) wasn’t stored. I have only the files and subdirectories in it. This is the default action, the directory test is treated as the ‘root’ folder @cjs: How can I create archives from a directory which contains the complete structure of this directory? I don’t want the complete Information (‘c:\programs\test’)! To create an archiver with files stored as ‘test\file1’ etc activate ‘use normal relative path’ under “options/miscellaneous” then compress the folder ‘test’ - not the files in the folder.

@heze: The download from yesterday and today were indentical. Any incremental installation didn’t help. But, after a complete unsinstall and a new install it works fine so far. PS: Because I hate all the modern skins, I switched to the classic skin. But there was just one button activated (Check Out). I had to add more buttons manually. Not very fine for a default setting… that is some bug that I cant figure out yet… it happened to me with french version, but after uninstall, it worked fine (with toolbar buttons)… We will check it out with 10.01, definetly not intended…

All the texts of drop down menus changed to “white”, furthermore, Option -> Select Skin -> both modern skin and classic skin are ticked To solve: Option -> Select Skin -> click “Default Blue/Silver” again

@Lord: Just a thought not an opinion - it might be better to not use the restart manager and simply request a restart at the end (like XP). Unsophisticated users may find the explorer.exe closing/restarting behavior disruptive and blame (unfairly) PA. it is not an option, we have to use it for Vista certification… I think it will make sense for normal users who wont notice anything wrong, it is us that will…

Fair enough, now i think about it! it is a good way of keeping your licenced serials secure from prying eyes as a user has to log in and request a serial. ow…. Hows the 2007 website coming along! i’m looking forward to seeing how it looks and feels! if its anything like your program it will be allot easier! Maybe it looks like Microsofts Office website with the ribbon bar style look???

@Brian: Designed by someone with a worn out dark CRT display perhaps? I fiddled with my gamma correction and I think I get it now. It’s supposed to be a yellow cardboard folder right? yeah, looks pretty good everywhere i checked it out… it is using vista-like colors…

Screenshot OK in RC1 But text still has You should now see a listing of the four files contained within the TUTOR1.ZIP archive file. There are only three txt files in TUTOR1.zip
