    Please don’t be offended, but can we start with the “basics”? Is “Use explorer shell Extensions” activated under configuration/Shell extensions? Have you rebooted since installing PA? Are you using Windows Explorer or another application? Is this for ALL files/folders/archives or only a specific file/folder? 5)Are you using “extended”/Unicode characters? (see http://www.powerarchiver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3392 ) Possibly try re-installing? (see http://www.powerarchiver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3330 )

    @port80: Even 25% would be great on a 2gb file. As both I and spwolf “implied”, that most likely will not be possible with a single video file. Still, try it and see.

    @davidsplash: that unusual as there is a limit in microsoft windows of 4gb of ram that can be used. so you can’t have 8gb on a pc computer. WOW, you’re kidding right? :confused: You should be ashamed for making such a statement.

    You can’t do that only save full folder structure or no folder info (there is no relative path option with TAR). Could you “move” the folders to the root e.g. C:\folder1 C:\folder2 and then archive them (with full path)? One way I thought I might be able to fool PA was to create the archive with the main folder, then deleted the folder and tried selecting all of the sub folders I’m trying to archive and dragging them into PA. Sorry, I don’t understand the process you are describing. When you delete a folder you delete all contents (same as in windows). so there is nothing to drag. The 4 secs may be the delay in completing the delete action. my version: 11.00.72 (trial version so far)[\QUOTE] The version available now is updated (I think it is 11.00.78 now). Note the trial period continues, it will not reset. Regarding the settings - I meant Options / Configuration / View (etc) Sorry if it confused you.

    I agree with wulffra - the information should also be in the About Box. That’s where I went (and pretty much always go) when I want full details on the version (both build and licensing-wise) of software installed on a machine

    simplest way is right click on PA Starter and check Always use Queue… otherwise, you have to go to options screen and check Add to Queue… should be quite useful for extracting/compressing several files at once, without slowing down your computer…

    I did, but It opens that folder, but whole folder tree is still extracted and I can’t change default folder for it. It uses Desktop. there is screenshot http://img390.imageshack.us/img390/5181/200810042226qc8.png I don’t have so many files :/, do I?

    I dont see how can Starter influence your DVD drive, it has nothing to do with it… problem is that pocket burning is not mature, and problems like that happen with LiveFS.

    @Mad_Griffith: I managed to fix this temporarily. Just download the free UNIVERSAL EXTRACTOR (search on softpedia), then extract the powearc1100.exe and run the .msi file. This really isn’t the most comfortable way, but surely it is effective. seems like an problem with Windows Installer that you managed to go around with… thanks

    When you open a RAR archive containing password-protected, comments and also has the option “also encrypts the file information” Powerarchive not display any commments. (Try to open “Password_Comment_Encrypt_File_Information.rar”) Instead a more aesthetic thing when I open a archive password-protected with comment and go into the folder the ball green in the status bar disappears half (Try to open “File_Folder_Coment.rar” and go into the folder) The pass for the two file is: ciao [image: attachment_t_3368_2_file_folder_comment.png] attachment_t_3368_0_password_comment_encrypt_file_information.rar attachment_t_3368_1_file_folder_coment.rar
