Hi,
it would be very kind, if you published the latest translation templates for the current PowerArchiver 2023.
So we could complete the translations for the current version. At the moment, at least the Windows 11 context menu and some items in the menus are not translatable at the moment.
Kind regards
Hello,
I have found a bad typo in PA 2009 Beta 1:
Forschaufenster -> Vorschaufenster
–-------------------------------------------------
And some word (order) suggestions:
Neu Archiv -> Neues Archiv
Öffnen Archiv -> Öffne Archiv or Archiv öffnen
Verschlüsseln Datei -> Datei verschlüsseln
Konvertieren Archiv -> Archiv konvertieren
Interface -> Oberfäche (if you translate all words into german, why not interface?)
Clear History -> Verlauf löschen
And please, clearify “Windows benutzen” -> i know, i use Windows ^^
@spwolf:
nobody in the office knows Spanish well enough, you need to compile issues and we will send it to our Spanish translator for fixing.
The problem is that there are lots of them.
Some parts of the help file are very well translated but others looks like machine translations or they are wrong translated.
Could you add the English help file to the international installer? When the English language is selected and you try to open the help file then an error appears. (Can not find PowerArchiver Help. Please reinstall PowerArchiver.). It would be good to have the original help file too.
In the interface there are not only translation bugs. You can see what I mean in the attached screenshots.
And please, could someone answer to my first post’s question? Thanks and Merry Christmas

Translating BETAs

Why you don’t make localized beta releases?

Among other things, translations take a while to do, plus we are not sure what exactly will be changed until the end so it really does not make any sense and makes everyone work 2x-3x as much as they should.
thanks,

Thank you for reply

It might be an idea though, to release a beta version of the translated software. Translated software sometimes contains errors due to translation or at least it could have all kinds of annoying things like: text that is too long for the given display room, wrong translations, doubtfull usage of different terms etc.
A betaperiod would attend users they could get these kind of things, and would give the translater the opportunity to correct his work.
