Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)
I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
StuffIt (.sit)

I am sure this has been requested but couldn’t find anything using search but what are the possibilities of having .sit and other mac compression/decompression support in PowerArchiver, as I don’t want to buy more software.
-
I support this whish.
-
untill the company that makes sit compression releases a decompression or unsit dll there will be no support for sit in powerarchiver due to copyright restrictions.
-
I guess there may be hope now that it is no longer Aladdin. I believe they got bought out recently by another company. We can only hope now!

Both of those Macintosh specific formats should be available.
Then you can add another two to your growing list of formats :) -
if there is a licenceing problem with some extra formats it would be nice like tugzip to have a plugin that actually uses certain formats but you have to get the program that makes them and install them, but use pa as an interface.
what does everyone else think about this Tugzip does this and it works.

If I have to install StuffIt anyway, I can use it directly and don’t need an additional interface in PA. However, I don’t want to install an extra program or plugin (StuffIt). I want the functionality integrated in PA. Unfortunately, it seems that this is not possible. :(

Actually, is licensing needed to develop and release a program which can extract proprietary format like ACE, RAR and SIT?
-
StuffIt offers a SDK for software developers, so it should be possible to integrate SIT: http://www.stuffit.com/win/sdk/index.html

Any news about the .sit (de)compression feature?
This is very important to share encrypted files with MAC users since Zip AES encryption is not handled by MAC OS nor programs like Stuff-it in MAC!
-
Hi, sorry to bump it but, no news/reply?

it is not an free, i would suspect it is pretty expensive per license product.
Currently there is no way we can do it, since we are an US company, we can be sued for copyright/trademark/whatever.
It is a bit easier for European companies since their laws are vague on the subject.
-
at least SIT extraction would be very useful
-
UnStuff can at least be implemented. On their sdk page there is a form, perhaps someone should contact them and see how much it will cost for commericial endevours.
Cheers

whether or not its free your right it should be implimented.
its in stuffit’s interest to have as many archivers working on there sit format even if it is only decompression.

it is not free, and i doubt it can be implemented at all, even at huge financial cost.
so we will not implement it, until it is freely available.

Having .sit installed in power archiver is a great thing but if there are still issues about the license, I wish that it is possible in the near future.
