Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)
I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
Removin Passwords From Files

the option thet i want to see is thet if let’s say
i’m downloading a protected file and i have the
password thet i would only have to type it
once and then remove the password from the
file so thet i wan’t have to retype it in the future
and by doing this i want have to extract and
recompress the contant of the file because it’s
annoying to do tet all the time:)10X IN ADVANCE.:)

pa can remember passwords for an archive.
what u wnat is to turn an archive into a non passworded archive. This can be done but the whole point of passwords is to make it passworded. you could extract the files yourself and re archive them without password.
-
Something like this is what you mean?
-
No, davidsplash was suggesting that you extract the files using the password and then create a new archive file (in whichever format you want) without a password.
You could then delete the original password protected file. -

it’s maybe the whole point to make it passworded when
you upload the file or when someone eles upload the file but once you have already downloaded the file and you already know the password but
you still want to keep the file as is you usually want it without
a password and you don’t want to extract and then recompress
because thet is just a awaist of time so if it’s possible to
add this option thet would be great:) -

Well obviously you cannot “keep the file as is” if you are decrypting it (removing password)
If you have an “automatic” process it would still be decompress / recompress but then you have added a seperate “rename/delete” difficulty.

of decomressing/recompressing the file every file
i download thet comes with a password to
no passworded file an automatic procedure thet would be great:)
