Solved Command Line Switch for View Mode
-
Hi,
I had a look at the command line switches, but there are no switches to change the startup mode.
At the moment, PowerArchiver opens in the last used mode.
I’d like to have command line switches to influence the startup mode.
Basically, the aim is:- Opening PowerArchiver from Start Menu or Desktop: Start in Explorer Mode
- Opening PowerArchiver by double clicking an archive: Start PowerArchiver in Archive Mode
-
Seems to work fine in PA 18.01.03 - thank you again

@bigmike I am sure we have unpublished switches for starting up in different modes. However that wont help you here without proper setting in main PA, because PA will always use last mode used.
So if Explorer was last mode used, next time you double click on archive, it will start in Archive mode.
With switch which would force PA to start always in Archive mode, you could use explorer mode switch manually with shortcut on desktop.

It would be great, if you could publish the switches.
By modifying the file associations, too, I think it would be exactly as I like it. -

Here we go:
powerarc -archive
powerarc -ftp
powerarc -explorer
They seem self-explanatory :-)

Thank you very much :)

While powerarc -explorer and powerarc -archive work fine, powerarc -archive test.zip will not change to archive mode :'(

any other changes needed? Thanks.

No, not for the behavior, I’d like to realize.
- Open from start menu in explorer mode
- Open in archive mode, when an archive is double clicked

I hope the rest of my feature request will be implemented in the future?
For now, I’m switching back to PowerArchiver 2016 because of this issue -
