@steje: I will certainly use either the email or forums here in the future. I’m not complaining about a lack of support response or anything :-). Please realize - I posted simply to ‘question’ if the support ‘Form’ was intended to be used anymore because I didn’t get a response and because the latest version in the list was quite old. The last part in particular happens sometimes when companies switch their support model at a point in time and neglect to update older links, etc… And I only continued to try in case you wanted to figure out why it wasn’t working. But I’m content to just move on with life :-). Hey Steje, we know you mean well :-). Thats why I asked you to send email, please send it - it uses same support system. I want to check if that works for you. We keep getting support emails via web form all the time, so it is weird that it does not work for you. Thank you!

pae/pae2 require full decryption of the file first, so basically they use aes 256bit. they can not quickly check hash to see if guessed password is correct.

When you click say New, enter a folder, set up your job, then click close, why not get that screen to send a message to the main screen (with the now out dated list), to pass the folder used and to tell it to refresh? Obviously I do not know all the details of your program - but that is just what I would have tried in my software.

FYI. I just added a new folder in DropBox that is alphabetically prior to the one that was in there when I first noted the problem. The contents of that folder now appear as the contents of every folder when clicking on folder names in the right pane. The contents are still correct when clicking on folder names in the left (navigation) pane.

@Socrates: I don’t know how you all do it. There are so many ways well-designed software can go wrong. As users we forget that it is not just the integrity of one piece of software, but how well it plays with everything else on every user’s machine. Couldn’t agree more. :)

AHA. I went fishing in my config settings. I discovered the cause of my problem reported a month ago (that you could not duplicate). Perhaps it is source of this problem as well. Burning support was set to “autodetect.” I changed it to SPTD, and the .iso window open exactly as it was supposed to – no 38 sec delay! Maybe it is also causing this problem? I have no idea how the setting got switched . . . it has always been SPTD. Maybe it was with one of the updates? Actually, glad to know that I was not nuts claiming there was a 38 second delay in having the iso windows open!

The virtual drive did not uninstall from shell. Win 8.1 (64). Latest PA. It uninstalled just fine from within PA Burner. Interesting. After I unloaded a slew of other programs, it DID unmount from the shell. So there was something else blocking it from working. Not sure what.
