    @Brian: I’ve now Installed powarc160072.exe It identifies itself as 16.02.01 both in it’s about dialogue and in Control Panel / Uninstall or change a program!! we are testing some installer features, no worries

    PA 16.00.69 - Win 7

    @PA_Fan: Thanks. I had a subsequent problem where the skin somehow became corrupt, with all buttons hidden, and thus rendering PA inaccessible. For various reasons, I updated to16.00.69 by downloading the entire file, so was able to use this to repair the installation. When that was complete, PA was restored to normal look (albeit with settings lost) and the delete/refresh problem has been cleared/fixed. when something like that happens next time, try to save the registry so we can reproduce it here. Same goes for the repair, manually deleting HKCU\Software\PowerArchiverint would have likely reset it all back without need to repair. thanks!

    Auto-hide ribbon strangeness

    @drteeth: It is a shame that it is a full screen mode, it would be more useful if it had the same functionality without resizing (drastically in my case) the main PA window. As it is, the option is useless to me as working full screen takes away the need to hide the ribbon. Regards DrT but you can have same functionality… just doubleclick on Home caption. It will minimize the “toolbar”.

    This has been fixed in latest update by Norton tonight. This is not our error but issue of false positive from AV vendor. So if you notice it in the future, you can also report it to them for quick fix. Thanks.

    @spwolf: disable color coded file list at the bottom left in status bar, first button. Thanks, that did it. I was playing around a few days ago and could have clicked on that button. It is not very clear on the interface whether this option is disabled or not. I think the bubble help should change to indicate the status of the option and also the colour difference between the two states should be more marked. Throughout the interface, the only indication that an option is active/a button has been clicked is a very light grey, which does not stand out at all. In some places it is lighter than others.     @cetko: Hello! Your password is not stored in cleartext. Password are stored encrypted. We use strong and secure algorithm for password encryption. Accounts are safe. Cetko But clearly they’re not stored as a salted hash. Where does the decryption key come from to allow you to email the password?

    @SMH17: Now zipx seems working in 16.00.64 but other problems that I have reported (eg on 7-ZIP and ZPAQ) are still here in this version we will update those other threads when we have solutions for those other problems of course.

    Patchbeam update hangs up

    @Nickji: Updating gets stuck at “Preparing PowerArchiver 2016 Setup Wizard” after the Patchbeam utility has run. 64 bit Windows 7, PowerArchiver v.16.00.56, McAfee Livesafe allowing Patchbeam internet access to designated ports. Hello, thats just our installer running. Are you sure it is not McAfee scanning the installer? It could take long time (scanning part). You can download latest release manually from our download page and check it out that way, but it is the same installer.
