OpenPGP future features and tools.

So, what should we do in the future for OpenPGP? We have some plans but lets hear your suggestions.

Minor update should bring public key server support, but after that we are all ears 🙂

  • It would be nice if when you encrypt a file using a pgp key as long as the user has that key installed on PowerArchiver they can open without entering a password.

    session saving for 10, 20, 60 minutes?

Please make it an option not to have this feature. It is a major security hole and negates the whole point of encryption in the first place - a bit like having your house keys stolen and having your address attached.

    of course.

  • Very simple request but you have within “Export” to Send to PGP Server!

Why not allow the user to “Send to Cloud” and “Send to FTP”.

  • My understanding is that an OpenPGP/PGP key server is more secure than either sending the public key in an email or to some other source. There is the possibility that a public key could be substituted in a man-in-the-middle attack.

Also, some people might not be assiduous in choosing a ‘good’ key phrase.

Happy New Year to you and all here.

    • Highlight revoked certificate
    • Notify user when using a revoked public key
    • Or do not allow (disable) the usage of revoked public keys when encrypting files.
