7-zip SFX
-
I meant this as a suggestion to the Powerarchiver people. It seems that they can’t provide us with their own sfx modules, so they should use the original 7z sfx modules.
-
I suggested that they use 7-zip32.dll which has a nice small sfx module in it and they could use the same file to create the 7-zips,
-
The competition has this feature nameing no names and you know who that is ult*****zip
so when will you impliment it?
-
we dont use generic sfx modules, once we have time, we will create PA’s sfx for 7zip.
thank you

7-zip SFX should be added soon. It’s one of the most useful functions. If you go to someone else, who doesn’t have 7zip, you need to create a SFX archive
-
A new version of Powerarchiver and still no 7-zip Sfx support. When will it be introduced, version 10

most likely… It will certainly not be in 9.6, and time is simply flying…

is there any way we could make our own sfx stubs for pa to be summited via the forum or by email to you for adding to the site.
Although the code is somewhat broken, if you download the code for SFX Maker from http://www.davidcornish.com/download/sfxmaker.zip you could try working from that.

thanks David, downloaded and testing.
what is the settings.sfx command about.
i tried with a simple test linesfxmcmd “test.zip” “test.exe” /c:sfxtext /p /r:setup.exe
but nothing happened, except a popup window informing me that sfxmcmd.exe has encountered ad problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

bump

Does this mean that SFX is on its way for 7-zip files?
-
Moving this to the top, I would like to 7-zip SFX support.
-
seems so that 7zip SFX is a killer feature of future PA versions ;)
-
yeah, finally. brilliant, how long have i been waiting for this. LOL :) :) :) 12/24/2004

Support to add this feature.

Another request as you asked to request. ;)
-
I totally support this.

PA Quick Question! Its fantastic now that we have 7zip support within SFX. But why don’t we have the option to compress using “Ultra(Memory Req.)” and just “Maximum (Slowest?)”
Would be nice if all compression methods were able within SFX if possible.

of course you can… just create 7zip as you want it and then create SFX…
