I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
Wishes for an upcoming release

Hi all,
Some enhancements I would like to see in a future version of PA :
-
Print file listing : in addition to “to text” and “to html” could it be possible to add “to clipboard” in order to be able to reuse the clipboard content from other programs…
-
for hovering an archive supported by pa, could it be possible to add tooltips giving information on the archive content (folders/files) as winzip does ?
-
Enhancing the shell extension in order to be able to browse archive as if they were regular folders(as zip folder in modern version of windows) ?
-
-
the last enhancement of making archive like folders is a good idea but in practice when zip magic had this it caused a lot of problems on many computers
-
Absolutely would love for some way to see the number of files and folders in a zip and its uncompressed size as part of either shell column extension or tooltip (or even better both :)).
Also how about some additional overwrite options when extracting instead of just Yes, No, Cancel - how about Yes Always and No Always (just like 7zip) - and maybe even rename.
Also when a file fails due to a write (maybe because the path name is too long when rextracting) can you let us know which file(s) it is in a message box at the end?
These would make me use PowerArchiver all the time and not have to use 7zip when I need file/folder sizes and overwrite options.
Regards,
Mark

In order for powerarchiver to beable to achive this they would have to support one operating system to make it worth it and that would mean they would loose loads of potentional customers.
Secondly updaes to windows could in teory stop this feature working and force an update to powerarchiver, instead of updating for enhancment it would be an update for a fix . this would slow own powerarchivers development.

I can’t see the 1st two being much of an issue. But I would have to agree with Davidsplash on the last request of being able to open archives as a folder.
The development team are always working on ways to improve PowerArchiver so Im sure they have read this and put it on the Wish List.
However, Any request that could pose a major impact to development time and future update’s would need to be seriosly considered.
