Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)

    Optimize archive on Context Menu
    W

I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.

Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption

Currently PowerArchiver doesn’t support RAR compression. It would be great if you add the option to compress files to RAR format. Also there should be the options to split the archive and also an option to add a password to the archive. :D

There are many threads in this forum where people asked for RAR support.

        Like this one:Link

        Keep looking for interesting software.

And as the next version of PA could be a major one, I would be ready to pay more for the software if the rar compression was added… The price of PA did not change since years but there were many releases since that day. So, according to me it would be logical if the price increased of few dollars …
And as the rar license is not free, it could be a very good reason : according to me of course !!!

I think the price shouldn’t go above $30.

Anyway, can’t anyone just create plug-ins for non commercial or private use? Like plug-ins for RAR, or ACE compression?

Previously, I were a user of Comprex, available at http://www.comprexx.com.
This product cost 29,xx dollars and have this feature in.
                Unfortunately it has been discontinued…
It has also, outlook plugin, ace/rar compression plugins…

How would the increase be charged ?
The personal license for PA is “lifetime” - so Conexware cannot charge extra for existing license holders without a large amount of “ill feeling”; especially from users who don’t want this compression!

It would have to be an “optional add-on” - for which the price would most likely be fixed by RAR (ACE etc) license issuing - not Conexware.

An integration/plug-in method to invoke the required compression could be done, but the normal license would have to be bought seperately - same as we have now (where Windows and not PA provides the “integration”).

No, what I am saying is someone should make free plug-ins for non commercial or private use. Just like they make cars for GTA Vice City. Since the cars are not sold, they don’t require any license.:D

You can’t just make a plug-in for RAR and then give it away for free and hope not to be sued. You are dealing with a copyright/patent issue. Even if you are giving it away free, doesn’t mean that you are not breaking the law.
