PA should support auto detection if it should use “make largeZIP 4Gb” option or not.

So the use needn’t set this setting by himself

With the “make large” option checked (active), PA will auto detect!
The flag is not activated by default for “backward compatibility”.
That will probably change, soon ?

For 9.5 that option will most likely be turned on at all times and removed from option list…

this will improve the working with PA

you can leave it on yourself at all times and it will work the same… It is already enabled in compress to filename.zip in shell extensions.
