Missing AES encryption in SFX wizard
-
The AES encryption combo is missing in SFX wizard. It should be no problem for the “best archiver in the world” to add the AES decryption algorithm to the sfx stubs.

this is not a bug but a missing feature

PA team advertises for ZIP AES support (both PkZip 5,1 and WZ 9.0 standards supported) so I assume this have to apply for sfx archives too.

SFX developement has slowed since Cornish is no longer developing the SFX maker. I know that an improved SFX maker has been on the wished list (in the old forum). I don’t believe that the SFX includes support for any of the new encryption routines, but we can hope for a new SFX maker to include these features!

there are several sfx makers on the market. even winzips sfx maker does not support aes encryption.
sfx is on the pa authors wish list and will be sorted out shortly.
what we need is a wishlisdt thread asking people for there views on sfx maker that should be a new products separate to pa which we pay for like winzip’s sfx maker.
see new thread

I guess SFX development has stopped 3 years ago.

Q: What is the difference between PowerArchiver and other archive utilities?
A: PowerArchiver is easier to use and has more features than any other archive program. There is simply no other program that has as many features, works as well and it is still easy to use. Many programs try to emulate PowerArchiver, but they never manage to have the same features, stability and ease of use.it is PAs turn to add some new features.
BTW: Very high-sounding QA statement.

Nevertheless, it is still an additional feature not an bug. Is there an point to posting features you want to see in PA as bugs? Please post them in appropriate forum.
thanks,

Youre all right! I said in an earlier Thread that you must make the SFX-Maker much better…there are not enough functions!
