Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)

    Optimize archive on Context Menu
    W

I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.

Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption

it is possible to have rar support through a plugin so you can create rar files.

You simply have a word with the rar creator he creates a plugin that you have (the customer) to pay for with your help. Then you simply have to register like you do for buying power archiver. But the price is cheaper than buying winrar. The rar creator get more money as most people like using power archiver than winrar and his format gets even more recognition it desrves

I think this is a great idea, it would be nice to make RAR files. 7zip are more compressed, but not everyone uses that format.

that would lead to me using ONLY PowerArchiver as (de)compressing tool…and I must say I’d love it! :)

so, please…try to get us the RAR plugin!

btw…could the developers tell us if we have any chance to get it, or if there are/would be problems with WinRAR’s owners?

            thanks!

              Youre right!
The perfect archiver is that one, which includes ALL functions that people need!
powerarc is the nearest to a “perfect” one, but some functions are not available yet (other fuctions which you can find in WinRAR for example)!
That some functions like RAR-Maker must be maked in the next versions to create the multifunctional archiver!

my idae would be a plugin we pay for a little of the value of winrar. basically you pay for the plugin so the winrar aruthor gets his money and we use a btter program. but we would still have to pay for powerarchiver unless we’ve payed for it already. Pliugin would be a standalone payment to the winrar author though powerarcher archiver

that could be an option and I would agree to pay a little more for PA having the RAR plugin! (btw… 19,95$ for a LIFETIME license’s very cheap a price, no one can tell the contrary! :) )

provided the problem with the RAR plugin has only to do with price, thing I don’t believe…

I’m quite enthusiastic because, with the 7z plugin, you guys developing PA succeeded in making its compression even stronger than the original!

that’s why I “have faith” you might do the same with WinRAR as well…

but anyway, I’d be so happy having only the plugin itself!

                  think about it!

PA would surely become the most complete tool everywhere!

When PA gets the .rar plugin too (after the now working plugins) the price must be boosted!
Then not so many people will buying winRAR but Powerarc and this will be a good deal!
Therefore it would be even a good deal when we become the .rar plugin integrated into PA for a little Price boosting…
