New wishes for the next version

yeah, but why would you mount zip file as dvd rom? Whats the use for it?
I did not think the PA Virtual drive was for DVD rom image only…
I saw it as a virtual generic driver abble to mount every type of archive…
The main goal we can find here is the ability to browse archives qhichkly without opening a particular software as the virtual drive is available at the operating system level … -

Both XP and Vista have this ability built in. It is also the first thing I disable when installing either of these two OSs :).

iso “archives” are different, as they are used for many different purposes, some of which require that they are loaded as dvd rom drives for them to function properly.

Ok, understood now ! But why having developped such functionality then in PA whereas free alternative as Virtual Clone Drive for example exists ?
More precisely Winmount has not only mount but also browse and compress archive management facilities…
It’s true that Winmount’s archive features are limited compared to PA’s ones but those are most of the time sufficient to deal with archives quickly and conveniently…currently PA Pro handles ISO images, which is true is the most used format concerning this type of usage, but are there other image types support planned as .NRG for example ?

Vista and XP can only handle zip and cab but no other archives….
For me it is very practical … -
Other wishes already suggested in the past …
Currently we can Print file listing to html or text documents, it would be nice if we could have the ability to print file listing to clipboard too…
Having some archive infos displayed when hovering archives (such as files and folders number and their compressed size).
IT could be displayed thanks to tooltips or a dedicated archives tab in the file properties…
As far as I remember Winzip has this feature since years … -
you need to write separate wishlist thread for each wish, otherwise we wont be able to keep track of them properly.

Ok! Should I rewrite those already made or can I go on and create a single thread only for the upcoming ones ?
-
ones that you care about, please do… otherwise, we might miss them…thanks.
-
Ok, so I will let this thread as it is now (most of wishes I made there was very old ones)… and I hope they will end in a next version of PA !
