Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats?
    A

Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)

    Optimize archive on Context Menu
    W

I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.

Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption

Having a sort-indicator arrow on whatever column was being sorted on would make it a little easier to tell at a glance what column was being used for sorting.

I’m just talking about a little arrow that points up (indicating ascending) or down (indicating descending), right in the column header. I’ve attached a screen shot of how WinRAR incorporates this little feature.

            NOw I has it, too.

For the first time you can’t see them.

You have to push on the columns, then you see the arrows.

So I think this feature request can be closed ;)

What? I have no idea what you mean. Push on the columns? I have done that–many times–and I don’t have anything on them. I can change the sort order and click on the columns all day long, and no “+” or “-” appears on them. This is with PowerArchiver 9.00.31.

Maybe this is another example of PowerArchiver still not working correctly at 120 DPI.

Yeah, well it doesn’t work on mine. I can post a screen shot of that, too, if you want me to.

Why did the other guy say it was a “+” or “-”, when what you show is an arrow? And what version (Help > About) are you using?

Maybe it’s a DPI issue, or a language issue. I am using the English version.

                        • arrow will not show if you have “original order” option setup in config, until you re-sort it.
                        • In WinXP with themes enabled, +/- will show instead of arrow.
                        • works fine in 120 dpi.

And thank you for your kind comments nameless, you are very helpful and supportive, as always.

The arrow wouldn’t show up for me, even after re-sorting. And re-sorting. Again and again. Nothing would make it appear for me.

Well, sorry for the harsh words, but it gets frustrating to try new versions of PA over and over, and seeing the same things–and new frustrations–each time. (The arrow issue isn’t a good example of that, but…)

Don’t worry though; I’m out for now. See you for version 10. :)

The indication appears when you activate View-Explorer style. It does not appear in View-Classic style.
However, it only appears in explorer mode (with no open archives)!!

Open any archive, now there is NO indication of the sorting order.
I believe this is the view nameless was referring to as that is the RAR view he attached in the original post.

No indicators in open archive view (both classic and explorer styles).
No indicators in explorer (no archive open) view using classic style.

I guess you mean restart (not resort) ? If so, no change - still no indicators.

The indicators just appear, if no archive is open. if you have opened an archive you can’t see the indicator.

so this is a BUG :(

                                              One suggestion.
Is it possible to make a seperator between the name and the +

Outside archives the sort indicator is shown as an arrow and inside archives a +/- sign is displayed instead.

So it should be no problem to draw the sort indicator insides archives as an arrow too.
