What Antivirus and Firewall solution do you trust?
-
I’ve tried different antivirus programs (Avast, nod32, DrWEB, pccillin, McAfee, Norton, Kaspersky etc.). :D
I like Norton Internet Security and Kaspersky Internet security… But i can’t choose between them…
What do you think?..

I liked KAV 6 a lot, I think it is pretty nice. I run FPROT 6 Beta right now because it is fast.

Yes, KAV / KIS 6 is great, I like their “Interactive mode”…
But it is slow… when working with archives… -
you really have to get dual core system, just so one core can run AV at all times :-).
-
:)

I use e-Trust anti-virus (from CA). I get it free with my DSL. Firewall, I use BID (BlackIce Defender) and ZoneAlarm (depends on which computer your are talking about), plus hardware router with built-in firewall.

Nice…
But what do you suggest?
Should we uninstall antivirus software and never use it?
And… What antivirus program do you use? -
I’m not saying you should never use a AV. It was just a informal document. It’s not posible in x64 and Vista to patch the kernel.
At the moment i’m using NOD32.
-
why didn’t you just call them about it?

-
Ok, must not be good at advertisement, because I missed it, either that or I’m just really slow (which is verytrue also). :D

-
@guido…
I was tempted to try the MS security essentials but thought better of it because of my stable system with Comodo Firewall and Nod32 Anti-Virus but I am interested in hearing your thoughts on the new security essentials. -
I’m using MS security essentials on two of my machines. Easy install. No problems with it this far.
