Why is .pa extension not offered in my Powerarchiver Pro software anymore?

When I bought a license to use PA Pro a couple of years ago I could create and work with the extension .pa which was unique feature of Conexware’s new codec pack. However as of the time of this post in 2019 it isn’t the case and it is not being offered in the recent version of PA Pro. Why is it?. Instead each time I want to create such a file the program wants me to purchase a license of PA Toolbox. Could it be due a branding change or what?. So far I’ve returned to 7 zip which is free or the already .zip which is within PA. Can somebody give me an insight or an update of what’s going on?.

There definitely isn’t a problem with your license, it just seems that it does not have the Advanced Codec Pack(.PA format) included. We did have a couple of earlier 2018 versions where the .PA format was unlocked while it was not supposed to and that was a bug. Upon solving the bug, it worked as intended, for PowerArchiver users who have the advanced codec pack.
You may renew your license through your account at www.conexware.com/shop, which will include the .Pa format as well. -

Thank you for contacting us - can you contact us at support@conexware.com so we can see the details of your original order. .PA format is tied to Advanced Codec Pack, not Toolbox, and you can get Advanced Codec Pack in Standard, Pro or Toolbox versions. Toolbox offer is just a special offer that makes it significantly cheaper to buy for existing users. To get Advanced Codec Pack, users could purchase yearly renewal or discounted Toolbox, Standard, Pro upgrades depending on their original purchase.
However I can not be sure what is exactly going on in your case without checking your order, so please send us info on email you used for the order and login to get upgrades via support@conexware.com.

This pretty much answers in some way that in order to “create” .pa files one should purchase Tools as they cannot be created by PA Pro. Did I understood it correctly?. Because my existing order already allows upgrades for the PA Pro and it is a pitty as mentioned that it is not allowing to create .pa files anymore but instead shows a window to purchase Tools which is something I don’t want at the moment.

No, you didn’t. It’s possible to create archives in PA format with a Pro edition. It’s dependent on the time of your purchase or your “Select plan”:
The Advanced Codec Pack enables the .PA format and is included in all PowerArchiver licenses that have been purchased with PowerArchiver 2017 and beyond. PowerArchiver users that have purchased PowerArchiver prior to version 2017, have the opportunity to obtain the Advanced Codec Pack as a part of the Select Plan. Once obtained, the Advanced Codec Pack will remain a part of your license, including when the Select Plan expires.
As you already were able to create PA archives, maybe something went wrong with your license. Simply contact the support as @spwolf wrote.

It seems that my current plan allows as mentioned to get lifetime upgrades to all new PA versions. I did purchased a PRO license years ago well before the existing 2017 edition you mention. However I was able to create those .pa files which is something I can’t do now. It looks that to “use” .pa one has to have a select plan (purchased separately?) and I cannot use .pa or create those files when that plan expires?.
Probably this seems to explain why I cannot use those files anymore, however I don’t think it is a problem with my existing license.
