Sooo, is there a chance of this ever getting fixed? I just tried with 15.0.35 and the same problem is present, as always. FTP it… shell extension maxes out a core. Shame, such a nice little feature but not really usable for large files, mostly for power issues.

I have ample CPU, so it does not create a problem for me.

I can verify CPU usage spikes (goes from 1-2% to 25%).

With FileZilla, it never moves my CPU about 2%.

I think, though, that the problem is more general than FTP. Just compressing a folder from the shell jacks my CPU up to almost 25%.

And . . . Compressing a folder from within the PA main window gets the CPU to 29%! Maybe it is the nature of multi-core compression. Not sure.

there was a specific problem with ftp where cpu would spike with no reason.
For ZIP compression, it is best to use all of the cpu :-)

Yes, compression will do that to a cpu ;) But we are talking about ftp file transfers here. Something which should not task a cpu so much.
