[Win7] Different extract behavior context menu vs. open
-
Hi,
System specs:
- Windows 7 Professional RTM x64 (MSDNAA version, German)
- Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (2x 2.66GHz)
- 4GB RAM
- PA 2010 PRO, Version 11.60.10 (08/2009) English w/ International reg. code.
I’m currently dealing with several splitted and password protected 7zip archives (filename.7z.001 - filename.7z.00X).
filename.7z.001 is recognized as a “general” archive regarding the shown icon.
If I perform a right-click on it and choose “Extract here” PA quits with an “invalid archive” error:
But if I perform a double click, PA opens the archive and recognizes it as a valid password protected 7zip archive and I can extract it.

Hey H4andy!
Did you restart your computer after installing that version of PA? If not, please do so and give it a try.
Also, please let us know the creation/modification date that you have for PASHLEXT.DLL
Found in C:\Program Files\PowerArchiverThanks

Hi,
I’ve rebooted several times and I even tried to reinstall PA.
Here’s the file info:
C:\Program Files (x86)\PowerArchiver\PASHLEXT.DLL

And which settings did you use to create the 7z file?
