Wrong password makes PB4 go crazy
-
1. I have encrypted a file resulting in *.pae
2. entered a wrong password when trying to open it
3. a message opened saying just that
4. I input a password again (do not know whether it was correct this time)
5. the name of the file disappeared from the left screen
6. clicking into the left screen resulted in the random opening of blue rectangulars, etc and PA became totally unresponsive -
how big is the pae file?
-
4.74 KB (4860 bytes)

basically i can confirm this if you enter the wrong password powerarchiver tries to extract the file then tells you that the password is wrong shouldn’t it tell you before it extracts the file or even tried too. even though nothing is extracted at the end result.

We tried to reproduce it but it works fine, so more details needed.
