PA 21.00.18 Action / Test behaves oddly for me on .PA files
    Brian GregoryB

PA 21.00.18 running on Windows 7 64 bit.
I made a big .PA file and thought I’d check it was made correctly with Menu / Actions / Test.
    Discovered:
    a) PA always issues a UAC prompt to do this!
    b) PA always says there are many errors in PA files.

Convert archive is incorrect for some WinRAR 5 archives
    W

WinRAR 5 has a rather useful option in some cases, which is to be able to create an archive by replacing identical files with a reference to the first occurrence (hardlink) within the archive.
In case you choose to convert the file with PowerArchiver to another format, however, the resulting archive does not have all the files. It does not consider those that were present as hardlinks.
If you do a normal extraction of the RAR archive instead, even with PowerArchivier, all the files are extracted correctly.

      Hi,

since PA2007 i get hundreds of Temp Folder in:

      C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp

for each *.zip File i ever unzipped with PA2007.

Why are they not deleted after using them???

Every Week i clear my TMP Folders and PA leaves sometime over 100k Files in them.

are you sure there are from PA and not some antivirus application that is checking those files?

What are the names of the folders?

          No - not sure.

          The Filenames are as Example:

          Temp60_FILENAME
          Temp61_FILENAME

          and so on ….

Using KIS2009 (Kaspersky Internet Security V9.0)

PA should not create those temp files - ours are created differently.

I am thinking it might be Windows Defender scanning those files automatically.
