Extraction error message
-
-
what kind of archive is it? And does it happen every time? (even now)
-
Zip, created by CrashPlan when I want to restore a file via the web. Used it many times before with a hitch. maybe just something odd with the way they now create their zip files.
-
it seems the save the letter of the drive… how are you extracting the file exactly? Does it work when you simply right click on it in Explorer and select Extract here?
-
same error message from shell.
I will try it again and see if maybe it was something weird on their site.
-
Still a problem with another download. You might want to check with CrashPlan and see what they are using it. I have, until recently, done it numerous times without a hitch.
-
is there any small example you can send us? that would be helpful.
-
I installed Crashplan… i have set it up to do local backup but it does not save backup as zip? It saves it as series of files? I am sure there is a setting somewhere?
-
You have to let it backup some files.
Then from the web access (so you can get to your files when away from your computer), you can choose files to restore (up to half a gig right now), click restore. Then it creates a zip you can download for 24 hours.
This has been useful on the road more than once.
