Ignoring the error completed installation and I do see shell options now! :)
Ill try it and get back to you all.
- Update: Ok tried the ZTE with FTP and its interesting. It will upload then pop open a new email with pre filled out links but the links dont seem to be active (the FTP links are but that leads to nothing really). Also, it would be cool to have a zip + ftp + email option where it will zip then pop open a email with the link. I dunno if thats redundant but tossing it out there. The link thing is interesting though. Here is an example:
Monitoring Dell PowerEdge servers with OpenManage Essentials -v5 0.pdf - ftp://g33ks.com:21/
MNCINC_Project Work Agreement_2012 03 15.pdf - ftp://g33ks.com:21/Only the FTP portions are links in the email.

thanks, we will check it out!
-
p.s. there is zip+ftp+email, and zip+ftp+email with options, check Zip to Email options/config to see if they are disabled currently.
-
Roger, will do.
*Update….Note to self make sure to check Shell options before posting ha.
-
we couldnt enable them all by default, as there would be 15 options there :-)
-
Totally agree I wouldnt enable them all by default either.
-
You will have to try with next release. We did some changes to installation but not sure what was giving problems to it.
-
karbonkopy - do you have external ftp server? and http one as well? or just ftp?
-
The text for messages goes like this when there are default options:
"This message contains some attachments uploaded to FTP server:
filename.ext - ftp://ftpserver:port/filename.ext"
But if you enable
“Use HTTP address as link in email” and set “HTTP link” for your FTP profile to e.g. “http://www.myserver.com/” , then you would get this link:
filename.ext - http://www.myserver.com/filename.ext
Tested with Microsoft Outlook and ThunderBird, ZTE v.13 from shell.
-
Going to test this now and get back to you both.
-
does everything else when it comes to ftp upload, link back, works as it should?
-
Yeah it sure does.
