when I say Desktop, i mean Desktop version of Win8… same goes for notebook users really.
Desktop/Notebook demand in the world did not come down last year, pads just shot up. Market for AC :P

If you have the Win8 version working. Why not start on WP7 :-)

HP, Dell and Asus submited a decrease in demand for Desktop’s PCs and market research backs the decline in the majority of end users requiring them.
However, Laptops, notebooks and the new Allinone systems showed an increase.
You could argue that the All in one is a “desktop”. and i would agree ever so slightly.
Although to me a desktop PC is something that can be upgraded, doesnt come with inbuilt monitors and noramlly has a life span of 5 to 7 years before it becomes to slow for modern software.
Where as Laptops, Netbooks and Notebooks are usualy less than 3/4 years. “depending on the specs of course”

as I said, when i said desktop, i only meant desktop version of Windows 8 vs tablet/Metro version.
they are basically forcing tablet/metro onto everyone so they can sell more of them… but if they keep forcing it like this and making it harder to use than Win7, they will start losing more marketshare in desktop.

we will of course take a look at these issues next week…

Hi,
Just got around to testing the file.
I tested it on a VM.
I can confirm that it installed ok, the only configuration required is the right click on a .zip file etc, to choose programme to open with, so that the correct icon shows - other than that, it seems to work normally :-) -

Hi,
I just reverted the VM to clean.
I can also confirm that 12.12 installs ok (with both UAC on and UAC off), with same right click - choose default association required. -
i think default association is win8 thing for sure, it wont leave :-). they have done it on purpose.
i bet we can sidetrack it too :)
