Show Backup Done - Doesn't Appear
-
I have just upgraded to Power Archiver 2009 which I find an improvement over the 2007 version, however when I run a backup “Backup Done” does not appear when the backup is finished even though I have checked the appropriate box. I am using Vista Business and didn’t have this problem with Power Archiver 2007.

Im also running Vista Business and I get teh alerts. But it depends. If I choose the option to run from the system tray, I get a baloon tip. If I choose run minimize I get a dialog.
But a problem I noticed is that when I run any backup from PA, it opens the config window every time. Very annoying.

are you starting backup from Windows or from within PowerArchiver?

I have created a shortcut icon and placed it on the desktop. To run the backup I click on the icon. I don’t know whether this means I am running the backup from Windows or PowerArchiver. Either way, I’m doing what I used to do with PA 2007 which told me when the backup was completed.

That’s the setup I have running here and “Backup Done” appears at the end. Only difference between us is that you are using Vista Business and I am using Vista Home Premium. I wouldn’t have thought that would make a difference though.

difference is if you have PA starting as minimized or in try… in that case, it is running “silently” without backup done message… if you disable option how to start PBS from Windows (alert tab in backup wizard), it will show backup done option.

we changed this option so it doesnt try to be smart anymore… if you check it, it will always show :)
