Hi,
There is no way (at least official) to decrypt .pae file without PowerArchiver… So you may download PA Trial for free from http://www.powerarchiver.com/download/ and extract it…
Maybe then you would want to make your own pae files and other archives and you purchase PA - the best archiver in the world :DSerhiy

when will you be able to decrypt pae files without powerarchiver?

when will you be able to decrypt pae files without powerarchiver?
Maybe when PA developers will make some “UnPAE DLL” and some other software use it to decrypt these files

Well, there are PAE SFX’s now, which make it easy to distribute PAE archives. As well as the fact that anyone can download and use PA2006.
We dont plan to issue dll’s, since in fact, we think zip aes and 7zip aes are sufficient for everyone. PAE was made before zip aes existed and when zip’s encryption was very weak.
thanks,

pae is great cause it can be used on files that do not need compression or files that simply are groups of different compssed archives. i think they have the wrong approach pae is far far better than any other encryption.
You add files to pae after compression where as the zip or 7zip aes you have to do it at the creation of the archive.
what does everyone else think?
