Those two answered original question, anything else is some new feature.

You add files to pae after compression where as the zip or 7zip aes you have to do it at the creation of the archive.

what does everyone else think?

As well as the fact that anyone can download and use PA2006.

We dont plan to issue dll’s, since in fact, we think zip aes and 7zip aes are sufficient for everyone. PAE was made before zip aes existed and when zip’s encryption was very weak.

when will you be able to decrypt pae files without powerarchiver?

Maybe when PA developers will make some “UnPAE DLL” and some other software use it to decrypt these files

Hi,
There is no way (at least official) to decrypt .pae file without PowerArchiver… So you may download PA Trial for free from http://www.powerarchiver.com/download/ and extract it…
Maybe then you would want to make your own pae files and other archives and you purchase PA - the best archiver in the world :D
