To create a Zip archive with AES encryption (and not PAE), you need to select the encryption on the Zip options screen

Correct. So if you want to create PAE files, you go to Encrypt tool.
If you wish to create ZIP compatible AES protected files, it is simply an option at zip compression option screen (password button).
thanks!

can we add it to the same place you make pae encrypted files, i mean have an option box either to creat one or either. it is confussing for new users to undersand. Cause the tool bar jsut sayes encryption fbut you can only make pae files with it. The tool bar is misleading to new users.

you cant add it there since you have to do it at moment of zip file creating - which is at zip options, and not later on (which is what PAE does).
I am locking this thread, thank you!
