when clciking on powerarchiver update from within powerarchiver we get a windows for the update but it nows sayes script errors. I think it could be due to windows update in windows 10 can you look into it. By pressing cancel it seems to be ok. It seems that the page being displayed as erros on it.
-
From within PA on the extract popup, buttons are hidden, I must resize the window to get access to the OK/Cancel buttons. Tried on the default notebook screen (Macbook M1 Max 14") as well as on my external monitor (4k).Screenshot_2022-05-12_10-02-10.jpg
-
Just uncompressed a RAR file that has a folder within, PA created the folder but the files inside are not being saved into folder because directory separator is a BACKSLASH (Windows style) instead of SLASH (macOS).Screenshot_2022-05-12_09-59-08.jpg

Ho giĂ contattato il supporto con il modulo presente qui https://www.powerarchiver.com/it/contact/ da settimane ma non ho ricevuto riscontro e ora che ho aggiornato alla versione 21.00.15 ho notato che il problema persiste.
Quando clicco PDF Encrypt & Sign nel tab Crittografia appare la schemata riportata sotto come se mancassero le funzionalitĂ .Iâve already contacted support with the form here https://www.powerarchiver.com/it/contact/ weeks ago but I havenât received any feedback and now that Iâve updated to version 21.00.15 Iâve noticed that the problem persists.
When I click on PDF Encrypt & Sign in the Encryption tab the schematic below appears as if the functionality is missing.de9b4a2d-07e7-4323-a5a3-1b91e73dafc0-image.png

I have tried to burn a DVD with PowerArchiver 2022 Final, but it didnât work because PA didnât found the external DVD-Burner.
I have tried several burners from Sony, LG, Dell.
I have connected the burners with several USB-Ports but unfortunately without any success.
With other burning software, e. g. Nero, all burner worked perfect on each USB-Port.
The same problem occured with PA2018 and it was solved with an update, but I donât remember the detailed software version.
Could you check the possibility of an bug, please?
Thank you for your support in advance! -
/
When I create a ZIP archive with another program such as Winrar, if I open the file with Winrar, the original Access and Creation dates are also displayed.
If I optimize that zipper file with the Optimize Archive function of PowerArchivier (or create a new archive) the resulting file no longer has the original Access and Creation dates.
Is there an option to preserve this data? (I havenât found it in the program settings and I have already enabled the âsave complete folder infoâ options in âCompression Profilesâ) -
Upgraded from 2021 to 2022. Selecting âbackupâ no scripts are showed. Only after editing and saving an existing script (explorer) it shows up in the PA backup folder.
So is the âbackupâ icon to open the Backup screen only for creating ânewâ ones. This means that you have to open ALL your old pbs files and to save them again⌠not user friendly.
No way to improve this ? Thank you.b606f084-9d96-461e-b93b-6ba9310a0f6c-image.png

Hi,
I have a 31" 4K screen with 3840x2160 pixel, which PA is able to handle - except of a scaling other than 100%.
Access violation at address 0000000..DF47A4 in module 'powerarc.exe'. Schreiben of address 0000...00330.
When changing scaling for this screen to 125%, starting PA brings the following exception:After closing this message, PA seems to work fine.
PA version 21.00.15 (03/2022) 64bit (tested with Win 10 and after upgrade Win 11)Is there any chance to avoid this access violation or this message?
Thanks and regards,
Karsten -

Hi,
the new Windows 11 context menu is not localized in PA 21.00.13.
While the classic context menu is localized, when itâs opened on a file on my desktop, itâs English, when itâs opened from a file on my C drive.@Mili Are there updated localization files available?

Hi,
I thought, Iâll give it a try and upgrade my PA 2018 Toolbox on my production machine to PA 2021 (20.10.03)
Sending registration codes in your order recovery doesnât seem to work at the moment (I also checked my junk folder), online activation works Using registry to disable modules (for example HKLM\SOFTWARE\PowerArchiverInt\General\DisableBurning) doesnât work as expected with modern ui. The module is visible, but Iâll get the trial nag, if I try to open it. Itâs almost fine in classic and ribbon mode.7989017c-3cd2-4a99-a1f6-06ce62329dec-image.png
âDisableCloudsâ and âDisableExplorerâ seem not to be respected at all, while the classic UI seems to respect the setting to disable any other unused module:
In settings I wonât be able to access the SmartAI settings and the settings for the internal editor if the FTP module is disabled

PA Queue does not compress file optimally with same parameters if used in Queue mode.
Being able to save advanced option, and set a default profile and archive type for compression so I can save clicks.
The above two are majorly affecting my efficiency with archiving stuff with PA 20.10.03.
Can someone confirm if they are resolved with the 2022 RC1?
UNSOLVED PA 19.00.57 crashes Firefox 69.0.1 in module pashlext64.dll | UserCallWinProcCheckWow

Hi.
While using Firefox it was sometimes crashing without error.
Today it happened again and i decided to look at an error log produced by Mozilla Firefox. I also sent the report to them.
The crash in Firefox seems to be related to PowerArchiver 19.00.57 in module module pashlext64.dll | UserCallWinProcCheckWow
Please see Firefox report below:
https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/e931f51c-0d3e-4d99-8ec7-ecb440190925
Hopefully this could help you pinpoint the issue.
Thanks a lot! đ

Hi, can you confirm if you have seen any more instances of this? and if so what you were doing when it occured?
-
nice to see you @RJWaring :)
Yes, what @RJWaring mentioned, was this a one-time error or a constant error?
To help us reproduce it, is there a specific operation you were doing which created the error.I use Firefox as my browser of choice, with PowerArchiver installed and have not run into it, but we would gladly like to reproduce it.
Thanks!
-
am very sorry but I could not find a predictable pattern up to now.
I know it happens sometimes and not just one time for now.
As soon as it happens again I will try to grab more contextual information and try to send you the info.It generally happens when I try to access the context menu (since then is when the DLL is loaded in memory I guess), but for more than this I will need to dig up.
Thanks for your input
-
I will also wait for Mozilla team to answer, maybe this bug is related to their browser.
The error report in the link was generated by Mozilla. If you have a debug mode for PowerArchiver I will try to enable it and as soon as the problem appears again I can send you the details.
The only pattern I have noticed is that the error appears after some time while Firefox is running and multiple tabs have been opened and closed.

Hi 2Flo,
Can i ask what Operating System you are using? and the build?
You have given a reasonable amount to go off, let me break it down and provide you with some feedback/advice.
- Latest Firefox Release
- Crash occurred when you had multiple tabâs open
- impacted a 64bit Dll (Which is a shell extension handler)
- The issue doesnât occur all the time.
Answer
You have more than likely suffered the well known âMemory Leakageâ issue in Firefox. However, this error is not limited to just Firefox it has been known to occur in IE 11 as well.I have included a link from Firefox that discusses this topic and how to diagnose and fix it in detail so hopefully that may be helpful.
Lastly, its worth considering that it could also be caused by background handlers such as a Anti-Virus that hasnât processed it quick enough and thus caused a lock to occur , meaning any other application trying to read to it times out and hangs.
To exclude the anti-virus, try adding the DLL or the whole PowerArchiver folder as âSafeâ and donât do active scanning for anything in that folder. - Before you do that, just run a in-depth detailed scan of it 1st to exclude any chance of their actually being a virus etc.
Firefox Memory Issue
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-uses-too-much-memory-or-cpu-resourcesItâs also worth checking your Operating System is up to date (sounds daft but it can help with shell extensions and DLLs using windows shell)
Kind Regards,
RJWaring -
Hi.
I am using Windows 10 build 18362.387 x64
-
Thanks we will be keen to hear from you once you have rebuilt your vm.

Hi.
As an update, I see that this module is related to the crash of explorer.exe as well.
Usually happens when I try to use the right click on an item or the âOpen Locationâ feature from Firefox.
This report is all I got at the moment:
-
As I am not sure exactly how I can collect logs and from where, if you can describe the steps for data collection that can help me, it would be very much appreciated (if you need any data to analyze of course).
-
Also, until further notice I will disable PowerArchiver Shell extensions for now.
I would like to help, so if you could provide me with some info, test cases or anything, I can re-enable them to test it only and send you the results.
Otherwise I will keep them disabled to try and prevent explorer.exe from crashing so often.

Let us know a few steps that will help us reproduce and weâll give it a try. Thanks! -
Hi.
You could try the folder icon inside the Libraries / Downloads window:
The Download arrow icon will appear on the upper right once a file has started to download.
-
Regarding right-clicking, this second scenario can be tested inside Explorer with any file you choose, provided that PowerArchiver shell extension is activated on the system.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience, but i havenât got too many details that can help me pinpoint the cause of this issue. It appears to happen randomly.
-
If there is any way I could export the error reports somehow in a form of logâŚ
Do you know if itâs possible? hopefully you can find some information in there.
-
@2Flo unfortunately that does not help.
BUT
we will have a new version of dll soon, so you can check with that specifically.
