Unsolved pbs files with many empty lines

If you edit a PBS file, it is surprising how PA is doing his house-holding… you have more empty lines, filling up full pages, then lines with codes…
Ok, these files are light weights but when you want to edit or even print out, you better export them first in a txt editor to eliminate hundreds of empty lines… Is there a technical reason why, no way to improve these files ??

Iv’e never opened mine in a text editor, but out of curiosity I just have.
2050 empty lines. That’s a lot of empty lines.It is an old PBS and has had many edits over the years, so maybe that has something to do with it.

hmm, had a few tries, but couldn’t get the empty lines to appear.
