PA 2018v32 "BURNER" - save dvd to iso app doesn't detect CD writer...
-
@pirrbe Please ignore my question on the ‘create drive on’. I found the answer on AS Zippro :

It is simply “Create drive on restart”
For one or another reason the text RESTART is missing on the PA screen… -
@pirrbe thank you pierre, i wrote it in…
-
Thanks @pirrbe
fixed in 18.00.43 -
@mili thx, external DVD writer is detected now, but another problem : it is out of order… hereby a status picture :

- no speed selection
- counter : size 432mb free -431mb
- burner button : faded / out of order
Mili, CD/DVD are becoming old fashion and I had to remove the dust of my box with rewritable DVD/CD to test this module. But I suppose that when PA claims to have a burner module on board, it should work. I don’t know if this is due to the fact that my writer/reader is an external… ??

hmmmm, seemed fine here yesterday. Will check out when I get to the computer with the burner and log it in accordingly.
Thanks very much for your continued help!

seems like it cant write to the media, hence no speed and out of space…

@spwolf I checked the burner function with third part soft (SH Burner Studio) and here the external dvd writer works perfect. PA recognize the writer but that’s it…

Can you try some other media?
-
@spwolf
What I noticed is that when you open the BURNER module, an extra drive is created :

But this drive is Read Only Memory ? (once created in PA it stays there, even when leaving BURNER modules = memory consuming ?)
Conflicting with PA writer proc ?
Sorry, what do you mean with ‘try other media’ ? -

Sorry, what do you mean with ‘try other media’ ?media is disc you inserted… did you try another disc? It has to be empty and writable.

Media used is indeed RW (tried Cd and DVD). With SH burner I can burn and add files afterwards (RW). The format is UDF. When trying out this with PA Burner, it’s going wrong. No active ‘Burn’ button, incorrect counters, etc… The first problem was that the external writer was not recognized by PA. That has been fixed, but still not operational.

I hope this is not an isolated local problem. -

I hope this is not an isolated local problem.yeah, that looks like Burner is not recognizing your disc as writable one. Did you try checking use last session checkbox?
I will try with some DVD-RWs I have, I burned some CD’s and DVDs but of normal R kind over the weekend.
