Fast Ring: PowerArchiver 2017 17.01.06

Installing 17.01.06 enabled PowerArchiver Queue when it should have left it disabled as I had it before.
Later: In fact every time I reboot I now find PA Queue is re-enabled. :-(

Thanks @Brian-Gregory
It enables queue when starter is selected to start at reboot, even though queue has been disabled.
logging it in

Is there any way I can tell PowerArchiver that when using the .PA format I want it to treat certain file extensions as if they were some other file extension? For instance, I want it to treat .EML, .68H and .ASM as if they were .TXT.

Why when restoring settings from the cloud does 17.01.06 fail to restore very much as all.
I made the mistake of trying 18.00.11 which I view as being as good as unusable since it always prompts with a nag screen.
The when I reinstalled 17.01.06 I had no effective way to get my settings back from your cloud.
Maybe some of them are restored but most are not. Even obvious things like the window position, size and columns on the screen are just not restored. That could only have been missed if absolutely zero testing was done.
I don’t understand why you’re even working on a version 18 when version 17 is still so unfinished.

@brian-gregory we can add them as default, otherwise you cant do it manually now… are they text files always?
-
@brian-gregory nothing computer specific is saved on purpose, since it might not work at all at different resolution. IE if you have one computer with 4k screen, it would render PA at 1080p screen unusable. We actually saved everything before, but user reports from similar problems made us scale back whats saved.
So if you want 1:1 save, export reg settings and save it.
If there is something else that you want saved, let us know. Thanks!

Most often but not always text files. You could add EML (emails in mime format) and ASM (assembler source files) but 68H is very specific to me.
How do I do it manually? Is it the preview settings?

It seemed like nothing worth mentioning was saved.
Or maybe everything that was saved was things I leave as the default. Can’t you save it all and check when restoring for different screen resolution etc that means some of it isn’t applicable.
Do you save everything and strip it out when restoring?
That would be better than nothing because I could just manually restore by double-clicking the file. -
Ahem. -----
-
@brian-gregory i have to move it to separate post and check it out
-
@spwolf I meant:
How do I do it manually? Is it the preview settings?
and
Do you save everything and strip it out [what might cause trouble] when restoring?
-
So you’re just NEVER going to tell me how to do it???

If you use Options> Export to local file, it seems like everything gets saved.
Can you tell me what settings did not get restored for you via Cloud?
