I’m having a problem with PA displaying a 7-zip file it creates. :rolleyes: Anyway, this occurs in both 9.20.06 and 9.11. I have a large RAR archive (~2.48GB). I open it up in PA (with no problem) and select convert to 7-zip. Maximum compression. The process runs thru and completes. Strangely, when I open the resulting 7-zip file in PA…it’s empty! The weirdest part is that if I try opening the same 7z file in WinRAR…it seems to open fine. Running: Windows XP Pro SP2, 1gb ram, Pentium M 1.8GHz. More info upon request.

Does it have large file inside archive? (over several GB?). In that case, it is the problem with the 7zip dll that we are using (there is an thread about it), and it will be solved once 9.5 updates to latest 7zip dll.

No, the largest file is about CD size ~700m.

I’m curious about this, sorry if I missed an announcement or something, but when is 7.5 expected? From what I understand 7.2 isn’t even officially out yet. I’m just wondering how long we’ll have to be stuck with the broken .dll before an update… Thanks.

just to inform people who think pa is behind on 7zip support they are wrong the only 7zip.dll avaliable at the moment is the one out officially.

great work pa keep on going.
