Unsolved PA2017 build 74 - Testing 7-zip with DMG files

Not sure how to report this one as I cannot send a sample 7-zip though due to it being 166Mb in size!
I have a new WD My Passport Ultra 2Tb Wild Berry drive and I compressed all the useless files in the root into a PA archive and a 7-ZIP archive. 7-ZIP won but only by 500Kb. When I tested the PA archive everything was ok but when I tested the 7-ZIP archive, PA stalled at 55% and had to use Task Manager to End Task.
WinRAR 5.40 had no problems testing the 7-ZIP archive!

@ckit also, it is excellent sample… it seems to work the best if we use plzma and not all the filters with Optimized Strong… in that case, compression is lower than 7z, as it should be.

likely… we dont have time to check it out yet, but it is very weird bug that shows only there and works everywhere else - our params are same there as when we test 7z file for instance… it is going to be something tricky.

I extracted and recompressed…
Just the WD_Apps_2.0.0.12.dmg to another 7z with same parms, tested fine
Just the WD_Apps_2.0.0.12.dmg with parent folder “WD Apps for Mac” to another 7z with same parms, tested fine
“WD Apps for Mac”. “WD Apps for Windows”, WD Apps Setup.exe" and locks up on “dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe” when testing so I’m thinking PA has trouble with multiple “WD Apps*.*” items (yes I’m wrong about the DMG theory)
