How to be sure if your .pa archive is error free ?
-
The log file of a create archive .zip shows an internal check and confirms that zip is error free :
Testing created backup…
testing Data\Excel\xxxxx\xxxxxt actual.xlsm
testing Data\Excel\xxxxx\xxxxxxenergie actual.xlsm
bolded textThere were no errors in the archive: D:\Backups\PA Backups\daily bg energies-2017-04-27.zipThe log file of an archive .pa just mention : Backup Done
How to be sure if your .pa is error free ???
Depending of selected compress methode I obtain a .pa of 47MB or 17MB… and I don’t feel secured that they are OK…
Is an internal check of .PA technical not possible ?

I wrote it in for next release to use same text.

now I understand that the problem is in error text, but same check during compression is done on .pa as well, there was just not an error free text before.
When it comes to xls/docx compression, stronger modes use reflate preprocessor which can compress these files up to 80% better, depending whats inside… so thats why they are smaller.

@spwolf indead, .pa is incredible in compression. And by adding the txt control message the picture is complete. Thanks.
