WinRAR 5 has a rather useful option in some cases, which is to be able to create an archive by replacing identical files with a reference to the first occurrence (hardlink) within the archive.
In case you choose to convert the file with PowerArchiver to another format, however, the resulting archive does not have all the files. It does not consider those that were present as hardlinks.
If you do a normal extraction of the RAR archive instead, even with PowerArchivier, all the files are extracted correctly. -
When adding to a file archive, and selecting for example PA format, strong optimization method, extreme compression. In the Advanced Options section you change to Automatic, EXE Filter and PDF filter . You return to the main section and save the Profile. When you then reload the profile you do not have the Automatic options of EXE Filter and PDF saved there.
I noticed that instead if you change other options they are saved correctly (except for the Filter box values). Also among the various changes to the advanced options you click the “Calculate RAM usage” button the value seems to be added to the previous one. You can see it for example just by clicking the button twice in a row, the value changes. Edit: actually after many attempts now it seems to write a stable value (it does not change with each click). Maybe a synchronization problem in the calculation?
Used PowerArchivier 2023 but there is the same behavior with the 2022

Hi,
i have resent downloaded the new 9.20g and the PA for Outlook, too.
On an WinXP SP2 Machine with Office 2003 the Plugin does not work. The Option Tab in Outlook say “unknown Version” for PA.
Every eMail with attachment lost the attachement.
Testing on an Win 2000 SP4 with Office 2003 its works fine.
I will retesting it on other Machines if is time for it.
best regards,
Henry

Could (not) confirm the issu on an WInXP SP1 and Office 2000 with almost actual, not recent, patches.
On this machine its work (fine).

Also, works for me (Windows XP SP1 and Outlook 2003 SP1)
P.S. What version is PA 9.20g ?
Do you mean 9.20.04 or the (withdrawn) 9.20.06? -
Let us know what is extact version of PowerArchiver on the computer it does not work on.
thanks,
-
I think I know what happened - He used german version of 9.2 and PAOP 1.00 does not recognize non-english versions properly (different registry key is used for every different language so they can co-exist properly).
Once 9.2 is released, PAOP update will be as well, so it can be used with other language versions of PowerArchiver.
thanks,

I have the same problem…
I installed 9.20.06 French verson and your new Outlook plug-in (version 1.00.06. English only in tab added in Outlook)
I used WinXP Pro SP2 (French Canadian) and Outlook 2003 (French Canadian too)
I have Power archiver Tab in Outlook and all seem to works well. No error code or message. But…
When i send email with attachment…The attachment will be lost for the adressee (receiver).
I test to send me an email with attachment. Same trouble: I attach a Word or Excel file and send email. Some second later, i receive the email without attachment.
Can you help me ?Sorry for my bad english.
