Solved PowerArchiver 64-Bit?
-
Is there a 64-Bit PowerArchiver? I noticed my right click menu items(extract here, compress to etc…) are missing.
Win10 64-bit latest powerarchiver.
-
I fully support this idea.
-
Does your right click menu work?
I can’t believe powerarchiver doesn’t have 64-bit already. All the other archivers do.

hello, your x64 shell should work perfectly. What version of PA do you have installed? It has been supported for a long, long time… did you try restarting your system after installation?
-
I did reboot to no Success. I have the current PA.

check the options in Config> Shell, although that should not be the problem. @mili can take a look when he returns to work on monday.
Did you try both in Windows Explorer and on Desktop? -
Which version of PowerArchiver do you have installed?
You can check for the exact version in the Help>About section.Shell working properly here on W10 x64
-
@Mili I have version 16.10.24
-
just an idea could another software be taking over the shell menu. just an idea
-
Just did another test of 16.10.24 on my machine, shell shows up properly.
Can you try re-installing and after re-installation, restart Windows Explorer from the Task Manager.
Then, try right clicking a file somewhere and see if shell will appear.
Did you recently upgrade to 16.10.24 from a previous version?
Have you installed another software, as @davidsplash mentioned, which might be conflicting?Anything that might have changed since last time shell worked?
Let us know and we’ll troubleshoot further.
-
I tried all that and it didn’t work. Didn’t upgrade either. Could my norton or comodo firewall be effecting it?
-
@Kerry4444 if you can wait for few more days, there will be PA 2017 public beta you can try. It likely will have something different for shell extensions, so lets debug from there instead of “old” release. Thank you!
-
I think it has something with the PASHLEXT64.dll not loading. I tried to reinstall it thru the command line but it wouldn’t let me.
-
another option is uninstall powerarchiver completely and try a fresh install
-
I did completely with revo uninstaller.

@Kerry4444 as i said before, please wait for 2-3 more days :). I will ping you when 2017 is ready and we can go through debug process properly.
-
ok, will do.

@Kerry4444 are we ready to do some testing over holidays? Or should we wait? Thanks!
