PA 21.00.18 running on Windows 7 64 bit.
I made a big .PA file and thought I’d check it was made correctly with Menu / Actions / Test.
a) PA always issues a UAC prompt to do this!
b) PA always says there are many errors in PA files.
WinRAR 5 has a rather useful option in some cases, which is to be able to create an archive by replacing identical files with a reference to the first occurrence (hardlink) within the archive.
In case you choose to convert the file with PowerArchiver to another format, however, the resulting archive does not have all the files. It does not consider those that were present as hardlinks.
If you do a normal extraction of the RAR archive instead, even with PowerArchivier, all the files are extracted correctly.
PowerArchiver for OS X, PACL for Linux... anyone interested?
Dear @Alpha-Tester ,
It is going to be possible for us to release OS X version of PowerArchiver (2017) and Linux version of PACL. It now makes sense since there is a .pa format plus technically it becomes easier for us to do this due to Delphi support for both.
Question is how many users here do we have that could help us debug OS X and Linux apps?

I run Linux Mint on my old laptop, so may be able to do a bit. I’m not really hands on with Linux though, so don’t expect too much from me.
I dont run linux or osx.
moved it to regular forums for more people to see.
No sorry, I’m Windows only.
i know @yoniy0 is up for linux version of PACL
@spwolf Yes, yes I am. (But should really take a look at my notifications settings, since I’m only seeing this mention now.)
I’ve been using powerarchiver in Linux for years via windows emulation.
I would say an android version would be a great start
I’d like to test PACL on my linux server (debian 8 and debian next)
I’d like to try pacl on opensuse Tumbleweed and Oracle Linux 7.2
Have been asking one for OS this program is much better then stuffit.
