1. Using the right click options to extract an ISO file does not work. You can tell that something is not right as the progress bar goes much faster than when the ISO is extracted by loading the archive in PA first. With the file used in the screen shots, I did a right-click extract and managed to get zero bytes in the resultant folder.

2. When an ISO file is extracted from within PA, everything behaved as if all the contents have been extracted, but the display in PA and windows explorer is so different - please see attachment.

3. When opening an ISO in PA, is it normal for the file sizes of the individual files to be misrepresented? See screenshot showing the status bar.

4. How can I change the file size units of files displayed in PA?

Same issues with Linux and Windows ISOs.

as to cabs and 7zips (maybe some rars?), this is due to solid archives.

Solid archive has all of the archive in single large “file” (segment), so individual file compression is not known. This is why cab and 7zip (and RAR with solid mode) have much better compression.

If there are any suggestions on how to display these, it would be welcome. This is what engines return. We though of putting something else but then using empty or NA might lead people to think it is broken.

hah, i thought it was a CAB file since you wrote cab… now I see it is ISO… yeah, it should be with proper numbers, I will check few ISOs to see why it happens in newer engine.

I’ll be ‘out if action’ for a day or so, so don’t worry if I do not get.

*I did write CAB in the original post for some reason. I did delete it within minutes of posting but I think somebody had already read and/or replied to it.

As to 1/2, Mili already reproduced this and wrote it into our bug tracker.

As to the 4. units, You mean change between bytes, kB, MB?

Didnt have too much time to test it myself, but crazy numbers and empty files should not show.

See the issue with extracting files in shell if it repeats itself.
