Problem with My Clouds
-
I ran a test successfully with the 2016 version. This test was not at the site where the issue occurred with the 2015 version. I am attaching a screen shot that shows both the failed 2015 and successful 2016 runs (OneDrive screen).
Thanks!

can you test with PA 2016 on that specific site? Might be something with some setting as well.
If you email us your user info found in Help> About screen, I will tell you if you have free update to 2016. You can PM me as well but email to support at conexware dot come gets into ticketing system and next available person will help you out if I am stuck with Christmas, etc, etc. Thanks!

Sorry for the delay in responding. Today I returned to the site where the issue occurs. The issue occurs in the 2015 and 2016 versions. I have narrowed to issue to content in folders and sub folders. I have five high level folders that were selected. In testing I created a job that had only one of the folders. Which I ran for each of the five folders. What I found was that only two of the folders would create the issue (the other three uploaded clean). I am attaching a list of the contents of the two bad folders.
Had to split the file in half due to limitations.

Thanks for the info.
Tested creating a backup with a similar folder/file structure.
Placed a few .doc, .pdf, .xls files in a few subfolders in
C:\Users\Public\TestPlaced the main folder in a backup and uploaded to onedrive, it uploaded properly it seems
can you verify that the created archive shows a larger(proper) size in windows explorer?
Also, what happens if you upload the same file to OneDrive manually? Through Clouds>Send to Cloud>Uploadscreenshot:

Sorry but I am not able to get to the site right now for further testing. I feel that it is not necessarily the directory structure. What about long file names (and special characters)? In answer to you question, I monitored the run and saw it create the zip file. Though it did go away after it thought it completed the upload (completion dialog and all). I also have another job setup (exactly the same 5 folders) but zip file is created locally (on the server) and not uploaded to “clouds”. It works as expected. The next time I get to the site I can test your suggestion.
Thanks. -
thanks for the info!
You mentioned;

Once you’re able to check it at the site, please check the local destination folder where the backup is supposed to be saved to make sure it is actually there and if it’s a proper file.(larger than 1mb).
I’ll also test with some of the long filenames from your sample.
Thanks!

I am certain that the local backup from a backup job not doing the “clouds” backup is working correctly. Is that what you are talking about? If not what folder would I look in for the temporary fie created from a “clouds” backup?
The “clouds” backup job with the bad folders creates only a 1 byte file in the cloud as can be seen in one of the prior screen shots.
Thanks. -

Thanks. The “use current folder as temp” is selected by default and that’s the location that it’s being uploaded from, unless that setting is changed in the Compression and Encryption section.
Same exact backup uploads OK to Google Drive but not to OneDrive?
When able to test, let us know the result of uploading the backup to onedrive manually, after it has been created. Also, if you can, please email us the pbs script you’re using to upload.
I’ll run the same script and have it upload to my OneDrive and maybe(hopefully) it will reproduce it.Thanks again for spending the time to help

sorry, forgot to mention that you can send the pbs(if possible) to support at conexware dot com

Will do what you ask next at the site. Yes, to your question on a successful upload to Google Drive with the same folder selection.
