PA 2013 Beta 3: ALL CAPS MENUS
-
PA 2013 Beta 3 has the menus names in ALL CAPS. I know that MS seems to be moving in this direction at least for some apps, but I hate it.
I couldn’t find an option to use lower case in the PA menus - if it’s there could someone tell me what I missed? If it’s not there, can I request that an option be added? (or just get rid of the all caps menus in the first place - does anyone actually prefer them?)

this is only for Win8/Office 2013 skin… rest of them dont have the all caps.
-
of course it would be possible to customize :-)
-
Hmm - I found that switching to the Office 2010 or 2007 skins didn’t change the menu capitalization. However, switching to the classic skin did. I noticed that that change made PA automatically restart.
So I switched back to the Win8 skin, and found the menus still with lowercase. after I restarted PA, the menus were in the Win8 ALL CAPS style.
For one more experiment, I switched to an Office 2010 skin and the menus stayed in ALL CAPS until I manually restarted PA.
It looks like a PA restart is needed whenever switching to/from the Win8 skin.
-
to change the toolbar text, restart is needed indeed…
-
should we restart when changing to/from win8 skin? if it bothers you that much :-)
-
I don’t mind the restart if it’s needed. But I think PA should do the restart automatically when switching to/from the Win8 skin like when changing to/from the classic skin.
