PA 21.00.18 Action / Test behaves oddly for me on .PA files
    Brian GregoryB

PA 21.00.18 running on Windows 7 64 bit.
I made a big .PA file and thought I’d check it was made correctly with Menu / Actions / Test.
    Discovered:
    a) PA always issues a UAC prompt to do this!
    b) PA always says there are many errors in PA files.

Convert archive is incorrect for some WinRAR 5 archives
    W

WinRAR 5 has a rather useful option in some cases, which is to be able to create an archive by replacing identical files with a reference to the first occurrence (hardlink) within the archive.
In case you choose to convert the file with PowerArchiver to another format, however, the resulting archive does not have all the files. It does not consider those that were present as hardlinks.
If you do a normal extraction of the RAR archive instead, even with PowerArchivier, all the files are extracted correctly.

I just got a new laptop and I installed PA 2012 on it, but when I use my 2011 pro legacy key PA just restarts then asks for registration again. I also tried my original 2009 key but that doesn’t work either, if there a limit to how many computers I can register my copy of PA on?
EDIT: I think part of the problem is that I use too many computers. I work on 6 different computers throughout the week and they are all mine.

Hi, PA doesnt to my knowlage have the ability to restrict the volume of times you use a serial. So i dont think its that which is the problem.

The best thing you can do is sign into Conexware account via the Support Tab on the new page this is called Order Recovery via; http://www.conexware.com/shop/

Within that you will be listed all applications you have Purchased licence’s for and available upgrades with discounts.

You can also request for those serial codes to be resent to you and download the version specific to your license.

        From the sound of things, you may need to upgrade so to use the latest version of PA as your free updates are limited to the last major version that incorporated Legacy. This can be clarified via your support page, and if you are still unsure you can email Conexware via the following;

we dont check how many computers you have it installed on, there is no online activation/check.

You need PA 2011 codes for PA 2011. Make sure that you have English version installed in case you have purchased English version.

There is no PA 2012 :-). And only “Legacy” codes were for PA 2011, so you have PA 2011 codes, which makes me think that above language version might be the “problem”.

          thanks!

You were correct I had accidentally downloaded the International version, I uninstalled it, got the English version installed and it worked.
