Pae problem
-
There is no way to recover data from a pae.
Are you a 100% sure that your password is correct? -
damn…. i’m sure
cry cry cry to infinity -
unfortunately, since it is encrypted, recovery is impossible. Was it stored on CD/DVD?
-
nop
it’s on my laptop,
“error: the password is invalid” is what it saysany other way to open it?
-
can you try the version of pa you created the pae in please cas it could be the new version your using or an old version that has a creation bug in it

if encrypted file is corrupted, there is no way.
-
wouldnt it be a good idea once pa has created the pae to say if the files are ok in the pae

You’ll see if they “are ok” after decryption with a valid password.

There is a “test” button for that very purpose.
-
true but if a window came up saying all files have been encrypted with this password and they are ok it would confirm the encrytion has worked. How many people actually test an archive out after they created it?
Very few
if there was a problem with the archiver it can be addressed straight away.

Well I can’t speak for others but it’s something I do every time.
-
if the file was not created right, you would get an error.
-
true but what i was thinking that if ther was an end screen saing encryption ok and what password it would help people who input a password and need reminding. This will sort out any problems found if a person has actually used a differnt language keyboard layout at the time and not realised it.
