PA 21.00.18 running on Windows 7 64 bit.
I made a big .PA file and thought I’d check it was made correctly with Menu / Actions / Test.
Discovered:
a) PA always issues a UAC prompt to do this!
b) PA always says there are many errors in PA files.
WinRAR 5 has a rather useful option in some cases, which is to be able to create an archive by replacing identical files with a reference to the first occurrence (hardlink) within the archive.
In case you choose to convert the file with PowerArchiver to another format, however, the resulting archive does not have all the files. It does not consider those that were present as hardlinks.
If you do a normal extraction of the RAR archive instead, even with PowerArchivier, all the files are extracted correctly.
Lost functionality

i’m not sure what happened. I use to have burn options in my menus. now i can’t even figure out how to mount an iso.
i read the instructions it says to click the ‘burn’ tab, which of course doesn’t exist.
I’m starting to rethink things man, you guys are taking the basic functiionality and making it hard to use. it USE to be that i could right click any iso and mount it. now that was removed and i think you’d be hard pressed to give me a legit reason for it.
can someone please tell me how to mount/unmount and burn iso files i’ve paid for this software numerous times and it seems each time i do so i get less and less functionality. this thing is bloated now. i hope you havent lost your way.

“burn” and “mount iso” suggest this is about PowerArchiver and not PACL - so I’ve moved the thread ;)
These options should be present in the GUI, assuming you have the Pro version.
Can you clarify which version of PowerArchiver you are using (see Help / About PowerArchiver and give full version number)?
Also, are you using Classic or Modern Toolbars? -
Additional, check these screen shots against yours

do you have Standard or Pro license? Pro allows you to use Burner tools, and Standard does not… If you have Pro license, enter that registration code again.
Nothing has changed there since introduction of Burner features, so nobody lost any features here :)

jesus…. i’m an idiot. Somehow I missed downloading the pro version and got standard. I do have a pro license though.
so I downloaded the pro, installed it and of course everything is happy.
sorry about that, and thank you for the help. I appreciate you not being a little defensive due to my rudeness. I was just frustrated. I had to do a clean install, and my RAID had failed. lost over 8000 photos. So I was rebuilding my image when I posted this.
Thanks again.

Strange, my understanding is that it is the same software!
The only difference is the type of license you purchase.i.e. You download the “evaluation” software.
When you input your license, the relevant features are enabled.Perhaps, you had just forgotten to enter your license and “lost” the buttons after the evaluation period expired?
Anyway, glad it’s sorted for you now :D

it is the same :)… another possibility is that someone has both standard and pro licenses (a lot of people had standard and upgrade to pro), so if they use standard license, all pro features will disappear so not to nag/annoy these users :)

yeah I didn’t realize they were the same software install. What i did was have the wrong codes sent.
I had the option of 2010 standard, and pro, but didn’t notice that. i sent the codes for the standard:
